 We are honored to share with you the remarkable story of Bishop Williams and his unwavering commitment to building bridges and fostering unity within our vibrant city of Cambridge. As a visionary leader commissioned by the Global Bible Way Church Charity, Bishop Williams has dedicated his life to creating connections and promoting connectivity within our diverse community.

Born in Jamaica in 1958, Bishop Williams began his journey that ultimately led him to the United Kingdom in 1976. Settling in Harlesden, North West London, he pursued studies in engineering and theology, laying the foundation for his future endeavors. In 1984, Bishop Williams found his calling in Cambridge, where he took on the role of a local pastor at 4 Devonshire. It was here that he embarked on a mission to build relationships with the diverse local population, particularly focusing on those from the Windrush Generation.

Through meticulous collaboration with ethnic minorities, local government bodies, and the East of England Development Agency, Bishop Williams spearheaded the establishment of a city church that truly resonated with the community's heart. Using the power of music, particularly through his choir, he engaged with young talents and even showcased their abilities on platforms such as the popular BBC series, "Pebble Mill at One."

Noteworthy is the gospel choir's uplifting performance in commemorating the passing of Princess Diana, providing solace and hope to the grieving hearts of the city. Bishop Williams and his dedicated team worked closely with the local council, utilizing the choir to spread messages of hope and entertainment during significant projects. Their outreach extended to the most vulnerable in society, including visits to care homes and support for the homeless.

Overcoming the challenges faced by the Windrush Generation through determination and resourcefulness, Bishop Williams remained resolute in his mission. He recognized the importance of computer literacy in the evolving technological landscape and established the Cambridge Advanced Technology Training (CATT) in a small room at 4 Devonshire Road. Starting with just ten donated computers, this training facility blossomed into a renowned institution offering a wide range of courses in language, computer technology, and external degrees from reputable UK universities.

Through the potent combination of gospel teachings and educational initiatives, Bishop Williams transformed countless lives, offering counseling, guidance, and unwavering community support. His impact reached far beyond Cambridge, as he established trusts, NGOs, and church organizations in communities across the globe, spreading hope and comfort to those in need.
