Church History

The Bibleway church UK Diocese was in the past affiliated to an organisation in the United states called the "Bibleway Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Worldwide Inc.", but is no longer affiliated.

The US organisation called "The Bibleway Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ World Wide Inc" was founded by Apostle Smallwood E.Williams in 1957 in Washington DC (“Bibleway US”). Various churches were established in other parts of the world which were in association with Bibleway US, including the first UK church in Lewisham founded by Bishop Leon Edgar White in the late 1950s. Over the succeeding years other churches associated with Bibleway US were founded in other parts of the United Kingdom (and other parts of the world), including the Greater Bibleway church in Cambridge.

Apostle L. A. Williams started off as the Pastor of the Greater Bibleway church in Cambridge. He soon became a district elder for the east & west midlands district of the former organisation, followed by his consecration to the Bishoprick and subsequent affirmation to Apostleship.

He is now the presiding Bishop of the current Bibleway church UK Diocese and overseas missions.
